Jonathan Berkowitz, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Berkowitz is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He specializes in sports-related injuries. He provides total care of the shoulder, hip and knee, from minimally invasive arthroscopy to total joint replacement. Using the latest technology in both surgical and nonsurgical treatments, Dr. Berkowitz is dedicated to helping his patients get back to living a healthy, active lifestyle.

He obtained his medical doctorate at the Carl Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He went on to complete a 5 year orthopedic residency at Northwell Health - Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He then spent an extra year obtaining highly specialized training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He previously served as one of the physicians for the United States Merchant Marine Academy football program. Additionally, he served as a team physician for the College of the Canyons football team. In his time at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, he has taken care of multiple professional athletes.
